If you've been wanting to do improv quilting but don't know where to start this is the class for you. Ori will walk you through the basics of how to make a few improv blocks with hands on sewing in class. Looking for accuracy with small or irregular pieces? Try paper piecing. Paper piecing has a multitude of applications. Among them kaleidoscope blocks, exotic star patterns, Mariner’s compass, and pictorial blocks all constructed with amazing accuracy. Join Debbie as she walks you through different ways to do this piecing technique. Kit included in fee.

Have you ever dreamed of making your own shoes? No? Me either. I mean, why would you. Making shoes is really hard right? Don’t you need special cobbler training and equipment? No way I have the skills to make one shoe, let alone a pair of them! What if I told you the hardest part of making shoes is picking out the fabric? No, really its true! In this class I will walk you through the process from start to glorious finish. If you can coordinate 2-3 fabrics and hold a large needle, you can make your own pair of totally cute shoes. People who see them will think you are a rock star, super talented and amazing! Class will meet twice. Starry Night is a wonderful pattern showcasing a manger scene. The quilt is made using Sew Kind of Wonderful rulers. Ori will guide you through making curves with ease using these specialty rulers. Hatched and Patched has created a very whimsical holiday quilt. The quilt has cute scenes in each block. Using hand wool applique, you will be able to stitch your way into the holiday season. Michelle will guide you through the stitches and embellishments to create this wonderful wall hanging. Meets the 4th Tuesday of the Month at 2:30 pm. First class is May 27th. Supplies needed for class: background fabric, wool pieces, hand stitching needles, embroidery floss/thread, scissors Cost: Free with pattern purchase

Did you love Tucker University freshman year, or have you already used some of the Studio 180 rulers and want to learn more? Join Sonya in this technique class, and learn to use the rest of the Studio 180 rulers: Rapid fire Hunter’s Star, Corner Pop 2 & 3, Four Patch Square Up, Wedge Star and Star 60. Plus get more bang for your buck from the other rulers aw we practice with almost all of the technique sheets not included in Freshman year. We’ll make several variations of the Wedge Star and the Star 60, learn lots more uses for the Tucker Trimmer including traditional and curved log cabin blocks, triangle pizzaz, geese on the edge, cyclone blocks and many more. We will create option units from the Diamon Rects, variations on the flying geese unit and give blocks a whole new twist with Corner Pop 2 & 3, plus more! Rulers and Technique Sheets are required for class and can be purchased in class for a 20% discount. Take what you learn and create your own pieced blocks with increased accuracy!
